What Theme Builder does
Elementor's documentation describes Theme Builder as the system for creating site-part templates that can override the active theme's page hierarchy, layout settings and CSS styling for defined parts of the site. Current examples include headers, footers, global pages/posts, archives and WooCommerce templates.
Template priority order
- Header and primary navigation.
- Footer and legal/navigation links.
- Single post/article template.
- Archive or category template.
- Special content-type templates only when the site actually needs them.
Use display conditions carefully
A beautiful template can still be wrong if it is assigned to the wrong content. Document where each template applies, especially when multiple templates could match the same post type or archive.
